  If the Watch Tower Society discontinued shunning.... new survey!!

  i'm pleased to announce that juan viejo2 has launched a new mini-survey on jwsurvey.org.

  the survey tackles the premise that the society might one day abandon shunning (at least between family members) and asks: what effect might this have on us?.

  the survey is primarily targeted at df'd/da'd and active jws, although there is one question applicable to all, which asks simply whether you agree with the practice of shunning.. there are only a handful of questions, so if you feel inclined, please do visit and take the survey on the link below:.

  @cedars do you think there is a sin that you would shun a person for? Child Molesters and Rapist are a different entity than someone who was "shunned" for adultry, fornication or homosexual behaviour.

  Some of the more progressive individuals are not attacking these sinners (We are all sinners!) but are learning to address the conduct without treating all sinners the same way. If Jesus Christ was to shun all the sinners, who would be left on earth untouched? The Governing Body, the Jezebel Class? Piousneers?

  I voted "I partially agree" but only with very bad people, I don't agree lives should be broken up by men who sin themselves.

  @talespin, I like the idea of learning from a tutor, I attended a foreign language congregation in Santa Maria for one day. Publishers who had been studying the language for two years, were still unable to make simple sentences, and commented in English.

  This turned me off from attempting to learn this particular language, too many people could not communicate in this tongue, this problem plagued even some of the married brothers, whose wives who spoke the language! :(

  @cedars: Your Blog at "Freeminds" is awesome, you have a gift with the pen, Dogpatch is another great writer there too, he raises the bar pretty high with his ability. It's nice to write with people of a high caliber, you two must have a blast there!

  Where To By Crisis of Conscience

  maybe this information has surfaced here before, but if so it is worth repeating periodically:.

  a couple weeks ago i was shocked after doing a google search for crisis of conscience when it brought up amazon with four distributors selling the book in soft-cover for collector prices between $169.95 us to over $650, with only 4 copies available.

  hard cover was not available new, and used copies were being sold for over $50-75.

  what language did you find most diffucult to learn, does anyone speak hindi, farsi, arabic or any asian languages?

  @Time Bandit Sorry you are having to deal with the conduct of badly behaving non-christians. I will pray she sees the "light" and open's her numb heart, this kind of teaching plays on weak minds.

  @Blondie You applied yourself with your whole heart, mind and soul (hubby too) and you were treated like trash, why is there so much darkness with these robots? These men and women, have Bible-truth-cateracts and I am trying to learn how to help ones, seeking the "truth about the truth". What excuses did the "unconditional loving brotherhood" give, for their unchristian conduct to you both?
